* this FEP describes how to use ECMAScript Modules to automate human-readable tests like those from FEP-d9ad: Create Conformance Tests for Fediverse Enhancement Proposals
* `activitypub-testing` will support `activitypub-testing run test --url=<url-to-fep-c551-module.js>`
* FEP-c551 ECMAScript Modules MAY be loaded by imported by other scripts as well. They should be importable by more than just `activitypub-testing`.

This thread is mostly SHOULDs and pedantically-explicit explanations of how existing FEPs and existing AP/AS behaviors work together. Buried among the self-evident stuff are a _few_ novel behaviors and ideas, but the _main_ purpose was to make existing FEPs easier to test (see the attached specification for a Test Case, with sample implementation forthcoming).

Sorry, it's a lot more verbose and esoteric than a gherkin, but that's what's we're using! I figured it could maybe live here canonically as per !328 , while we're working on the rest of the suite. In the meantime, I can put a little free-standing single-test-case-runner link in the tracking issue, as you mentioned.
